A TEEN schoolgirl has gone missing since Easter Monday and her worried mother is asking the public for assistance in locating her. The missing teen Ornella Joseph, 15, of Lumsden Street, Barron Avenue, Gasparillo was last seen dressed in a red long sleeved jersey, a red pair of jeans, and high heel shoes during a zonal Church sports and family day at Couva Junior Secondary School.
Joseph is a Form Four student at Marabella Senior Comprehensive School and a member of In His Image New Testament Church of God in Mayo.
Yesterday, her concerned mother Marcia, 37, told Newsday the last time she saw her daughter, she was standing on the side of the sports grounds cheering on a relative who was in a race.
The mother of three recalled: “Around 9 am on Easter Monday we all left home together — we arrived as a family and all was well until around 11 am when I looked for her and she was not there.”
She said several calls for Ornella were made on the public address system but she never showed up. A report was later made to the Couva Police Station and frantic checks made at the homes of relatives and friends, all proved futile.
Joseph is begging anyone who knows of her daughter’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or call her at 761-9841.
