Found Dead: Tierra Adams

A missing pregnant woman has been found dead nearly 60 miles from where she was last seen alive, deputies told KPRC Local 2 Monday.

Walker County sheriff’s deputies said Tierra Lechall Adams’ body was discovered about a half-mile east of Interstate 45 near Pinedale Road near Huntsville, Texas, on Wednesday.

Huntsville, Texas, is about an hour north of Houston. The city is home to Sam Houston State University and the unit where Texas executes death row inmates.

Adams, 25, was last seen on Jan. 28. She was expected to give birth to a baby girl on Valentine’s Day.

Investigators have not said if Adams was still pregnant when she was found.

Deputies said that clothing and tattoos on the body led to her identification. The cause of her death is under investigation, officials said.

Rose Adams-Itive, Adams’ mother, said her daughter’s boyfriend, Neriah Roberts, told her that the two got into an argument after he caught Adams smoking in his house and he dropped her off in the 12200 block of North Houston Rosslyn Road near State Highway 249 at 1 a.m. on Jan. 29.

Houston police said Roberts gave them an initial statement but refused to cooperate with the investigation.

I am so disappointed with the fact that she was only 60 miles from where she live. You’d think they would’ve found her when they were doing this “extensive” search. And how could you NOT think the boyfriend was a suspect? He dropped her off in the middle of the night on the interstate and refused to cooperate with the investigation – that’s a big clue that he probably had something to do with her disapperance and murder.

I cannot believe that the police are not investigating her boyfriend. No one in the right mind would drop off a pregnant woman (who is full term) on an interstate at 1:30am. Her mother needs to encourage the police to take a closer look at the boyfriend.
